- Promote quality of life features in Portage
- Target specific industry - transportation, distribution, and high-tech industries
- Expose “diamonds in the rough”, unique or class-leading businesses, in Portage

Business Retention/Expansion (BusinessFirst)
- Continue to grow and expand Portage businesses community
- Identify business opportunities and needs
- Assist businesses with various needs (i.e. Demographic info, grants & incentives, etc)
- Serve as liaison between City government and business community

Regional Property Database
- Partner with National Council for Economic Development Corporations and NIPSCO in developing central property database, first regionally, then state-wide
- Work with State on State-wide properties website (Indiana Properties)
- Incorporate GIS
- Promote database to local/regional real estate professionals
Maintain Quality & Current Demographic Information
- Use information to properly target marketing efforts
- Use information to assist local businesses

- Develop and design incubator space within downtown Portage

- Develop programs and strategies to assist start-up businesses in the community
- Bring 3 Economic Development Organizations; PEDCO, Downtown Development Corp., & Greater Portage Chamber of Commerce under one roof
